Are you active in the sharing or the circular economy? Or do you know local organisations active in this field? If so, please let us know and fill in the form.

We need you! Citizens like you, from all corners of Europe are reshaping their own living environment. Local collaboration brings a big opportunity for global sustainability. Through hundreds of small scale efforts, a big change is happening.

Do you want to explore the crossover of two of the key developments of our time? The sharing and the circular economy are at the heart of the changes that are taking place in our cities. The sharing economy enables you and your neighbours to connect directly. By sharing, borrowing, swapping and renting all kinds of assets you are making a better use of existing capacity. The circular economy offers new business models where one person or organisation’s waste is someone else’s resource. Together, the sharing and the circular economy change our cities and the way we live, work and play.

Why we need you

Together we can create a sharing circular economy, and a circular sharing economy. This project is the first effort ever taken to connect these two in cities. We need you to collect and share the many ways in which you, your fellow citizens and local organisations are building sustainable sharing cities. This enables us to learn and share how to let these two megatrends work for the benefit of our cities.

What we give back

  • The experiences and insights from projects and organisations similar to yours in other places across Europe;

  • Ways in which your local government intends to become a sustainable sharing city, and how you can play your role in this process;

  • Ways in which you and other organisations in your city can collaborate with like-minded people and organisations in other cities and countries;

  • A chance to attend a workshop in your city where you can network with the local and European ecosystem.

We are in this together

We do not all need to reinvent the wheel. If we are able to take the best from each others’ experiences we will all move to a circular sharing economy sooner. It is our mission to connect the lively and diverse playing field of circular and sharing economy initiatives in Europe. Please sign up if you come from the following cities or regions.
